Scott is an expert in fiduciary investment management, with more than 27 years of experience guiding affluent families through investments and long-term planning. A frequent speaker at industry gatherings, he offers practical insights drawn from decades of discretionary portfolio management. Scott is grateful to have spent his entire career in fiduciary investment management.
Prior to founding Spectra in 2017, Scott spent over a decade at Northern Trust, where he managed investment portfolios throughout his tenure. He served as Regional Investment Director, training portfolio managers nationwide, and ultimately advanced to Managing Director of the Stuart, Florida office. Earlier in his career, Scott spent 1998 to 2006 at Seacoast Bank, where he rose from portfolio manager to Director of Investments.
At Spectra, Scott works alongside Julia and Micah, managing U.S. stock, global equity, and bond strategies, applying the same value discipline he has practiced since 1998. His approach combines deep research, valuation discipline, and a clear-eyed view of risks.
Outside the office, Scott is a father of three and husband of one. Scott and Kelli spend their time chasing after their three kids—Joseph, 16, Samuel, 13, and Anna, 11—while fitting in epic family trips to national parks, a little skiing, and plenty of frustrating rounds of golf.
Scott’s civic commitments include serving on multiple nonprofit boards, including the immediate past chairman of Hibiscus Children’s Center and the past chairman of Treasure Coast Hospice, as well as serving on the Rinker Business School Advisory Board.
